Reviewed on July 20, 2006Though inconsistent, the D-Link N 650 router performed admirably overall compared to its Draft N competition. Still, we are unimpressed with how it measures up to the promise of 802.11n. Pass on this for now; in fact, pass on all Draft N routers until the spec is finalized.TAGS:D-Link Systems, router, SSID, IEEE 802.11n, spec, WEP, WPA, adapter, Belkin Corp., broadcasting, firmware, CD
Reviewed on April 24, 2006Though it offers good maximum throughput, the Linksys WRT300N ultimately fails to do the new Draft N standard proud in both mixed-mode and long-range tests. Wait to see how the rest of the Draft N products fare.TAGS:Linksys, router, Netgear, antenna, MIMO, throughput, Belkin Corp., CD
Reviewed on December 16, 2005The Belkin Wireless G Plus MIMO Notebook Card can't compete with another member of Belkin's wireless-adapter family, the Pre-N PC Card, but it compares decently with other pre-802.11n/MIMO adapters and kills the plain 11g competition.TAGS:MIMO, Belkin Corp., adapter, throughput, WPA, card, Linksys, wireless network, PC Card, VPN, laptop computer, Wi-Fi, CD
Reviewed on May 15, 2006If you plan to sit within 10 feet of your WRT54GX4 router, you'll get satisfying throughput. But if you want an adapter that's faster than standard 802.11g, opt for the Belkin Pre-N, which shows more consistent performance.TAGS:Linksys, Netgear, Belkin Corp., adapter, throughput, router, feet, CD, Microsoft Windows
