mutlistep setup, requires opening a dialog box to print
by burkebri on November 19, 2008
Pros: Price, Wireless N and USB connection to a shared printer
Cons: installation is tedious with mutiple tech support calls, firmware update, printer sharing software download and permanent three steps to print a document. I should have stayed with the SMC Barricade.

a great choice
by dsmrobert on November 18, 2009
Pros: It took me around 15 mins to setup my desktop, my netbook, my wireless desktop and mac. it's pretty simple. i am not a tech. Speed test is above average, 9.79/10.
Cons: price of router is fair. but you might have to spend money on 5.0GHz USB adatper for your wireless device in order to take advantage of this router. if you have budget concern, i would suggest you: save money it's worth it.
Summary: I have tried linksys 160, 310. both are over-heating and you have to unplug and plug in order to reset. it's pretty annoying to do that every day.

Decent value ($80)
by MartinPDX on July 22, 2009
Pros: It works well and didn't cost too much. It doesn't look as aerodynamic as the new Linksys models and doesn't exude the Apple zen sensation, but I saved a Benji.
Cons: It didn't setup as easily as advertised. I spent 45min trying, then called tech support, and spent another 30min with Marvin setting it up. The good news is that it finally works.
Summary: This machine doesn't offer all the bells and whistles, but also costs $100 less. It's a good value.

I'm a casual internet user with a 5 Mb/s download speed connection. Standard n is overkill for my purposes, but I wanted the additional range standard g can't provide. Plus, I'd like to think I future proofed myself a bit in case we upgrade our service.
The box is cheesy looking and I store it out of sight.
In retrospect, it would've been nice to run both the 2.4GHz and 5.0GHz connections simultaneously. It turns out our Dell laptop only handles 2.4GHz while my MacBook handles either.

Odd Setup Process - Not so Free Software
by Firemark1817 on February 15, 2009
Pros: It's small. It's in a shiny case. Flashing icons instead of simple dots.
Cons: The installation is a multi-step maze with printed instructions limited stickers to insert the CD first. Setup prompts to install Network Magic that's FREE. However, it's a temporary license only and doesn't work well discovering devices.
Summary: The pros listed should tell you everything you need to know. They're about all this product has going for it.
