The good: Reproduces a deep level of black; solid uniformity and few rainbow effects for a DLP rear-projection display; includes fine-tuning controls for color and tint; excellent connectivity with 4 HDMI and 3 component video inputs; can control other external equipment via an IR blaster; discreet, low-key styling.
The bad: Inaccurate color temperature that cannot be user-adjusted; minor artifacts in fine details caused by geometry correction system; below-average standard-def performance.
The bottom line: Its performance isn't the best among rear-projection HDTVs, but the Mitsubishi WD-65734's excellent feature set and highly adjustable picture help make up the difference.

The Mitsubishi WD-65734 is a 65-inch, rear-projection rear-projection TV.
Compared to other rear-projection TVs on the market, it is relatively inexpensive at around $1,840.
Pros:
Has a 65-inch screen size, which is somewhat larger than some similarly priced TVs.
In fact, the typical cost of a product with this large a screen size is $2,465.
With built-in HDTV compatibility, this unit can display images that are significantly sharper and more realistic than regular television, as long as the source is high definition.
(It can easily render standard-resolution digital TV broadcasts and also depict the full resolution of widescreen DVD video.)
Cons:

Suitability:
A rear-projection TV, suited for home theater.
In general, a wide aspect TV such as this one is well suited for DVD movies recorded in the popular 16:9 format, as well as high definition programming.
Value:
In general, this TV's features are in line with its price.
However, rear-projection TVs with comparable viewable size have an average cost of about $2,465.
