Summary: This product worked like a dream for the first day. After that, I got a paper jam in the rear door near the duplexer. Again and again and again. I can't print more than three pages without it jamming, which cancels the whole print job. I switch back and forth between paper types throughout my day, and print large jobs on a daily basis. I called tech support, who, bless their hearts, need some more training. They obviously are reading from their TS script, and if you ask them a question, they have a really hard time answering it if the answer isn't right in their face. They walked me through resetting the printer no less than five times, which did nothing to solve my problem. I'm sending this POS back as soon as I can. I have had several Lexmark printers over the years, and I stuck with them because I'd never had a problem. This little incident is seriously making me reconsider my brand loyalty.

nice feature set, disappointing photo printing
by omzf on January 3, 2010
Pros: good connectivity options including wired or wireless ethernet, built in duplexing, comes with high yield print cartridges, set up was pretty easy
Cons: Photo printing is disappointing - images come out fuzzy and color is inaccurate and banded, printer is somewhat bulky. No where on the box or in the manual lists the products full specs, though you can find them on Lexmark's site.
Summary: I purchased this printer for it's price point and PC World Top 10 recommendation, however after printing a few images I'm ready to return it to try out ...

It works great.
by kibbles6890 on June 16, 2009
Pros: Easy to set up. The printer set up with Zero difficulty on both of my acers with vista. one 64 bit and the other 32 bit. Both computers recognised it immediatly on the network. Print quality is very good. Note, I did not test it for photo quality.
Cons: Some of the support staff does not know how to run this machine and tries to read instructions from a manual. The manual that comes with the printer is not very good.
You have to figure out some of the features yourself.

Summary: This printer was an upgrade by lexmark to replace 2 x7675 printers. The x7675 printers have a software bug in draft mode that their engineers could not help me solve and was not mentioned in c-nets review. This printer does not have this software bug. It works in all modes very quickly. I like having a paper drawer in place of a gravity feed and I like the duplexing. The scanning and the copying also works fine. The wirless connection is great.
It will jam if you overload the paper drawer but you can fix it easily. The lexmark support staff has bent over backwards to please me and this printer is great.
Now if only lexmark would reduce the cost of thier ink cartridges.

Had it set up all of 9 hours. Can't wait to return it.
by omchodoy on April 25, 2009
Pros: It was easy to set up until print cartridges required 3 machine cleanings via the maintenance feature and one manual cleaning with damp cloth.
Cons: Scanning SUCKS. Perfectly clear photos go on the scanner and completely blurry images come up on screen at 300 dpi, standard for most photo scanning not intended for publishing. Scan okay at 600 dpi, but who wants it that big for everyday use?
Summary: This thing is just horrible. I've always had HP before, decided to try Lexmark. It's going back to the store tomorrow, that's how poor the scanning is. ...

Summary: This thing is just horrible. I've always had HP before, decided to try Lexmark. It's going back to the store tomorrow, that's how poor the scanning is. Plus, while it allows you to scan multiple photos at once, It does not appear to allow you to crop more than one image. If you scan 6 photos, you get one scanned file showing 6 photos. Once you crop one of the 6 images into one file, you lose the screen that shows all the images in that scan. Thus you can't separate the photos once scanned. If you can, I can't figure it out and the user manual does not address this. POS. Should have stuck with HP.

Summary: Spent DAYS researching and bought an HP C 7280 machine, took it home and installed it, problems with baby blue cartridge. Would not finish installing. So I took it back and bought a Lexmark Pro 9575. The red in the color cartridge (1 multicolored cartridge) did not immediately work. Called Lexmark's customer service and he had me compress the cartridge nozzle (very specific directions)which worked. Excellent customer service, (even though it was based out of the country). However, I then read on the net about Lexmark on their low end line. I think the Pro line is pretty good, but I rethought my decision and took it back and again got a new HP Photosmart C7280. (Office Depot was patient with me, matching Office Max's price of $179.00 for the HP C7280). I printed off the Google color image on both machines and compared them. The HP has much better color, crispness and depth than the Lexmark. No problem with losing the router with the HP. 2nd machine HP installation went smoothly (I paused protection from Kaspersky). No cartridge problems. I would have loved to purchase a Canon MP 970, but their customer service person told me that they have NO WIRELESS Printers! (Network capable does not cut it for our family. I was unwilling to buy an external card.) I am happy so far. I talked to a very knowledgeable salesperson from Staples who owned the HP C 7280 and then he thought he was spending too much on ink because of the tiny size of the ink cartridges. He bought another HP (upgrade), and sold the 7280 printer. He regrets it now. He feels that the HP C7280 machine was actually more efficient than he realized, and he noted that the upgrade machine did not compare favorably with the color of the C7280. I bought an extended warranty to run through year 3. I don't want to deal with HP customer service which is awful, awful (from my past experience). Hope this helps.
Updated
I bought this one and the HP Colorsmart C7280. Like the HP much better for color. Much better.
