The good: Compact; decently fast black text prints; toner canisters are easy to swap out.
The bad: Slow at all but black text prints; print quality could use a lot of improvement.
The bottom line: The tiny Samsung CLP-300 color laser printer is a good bargain for those with very basic print needs. If you need more from your printer, you'll have to spend a little more money.
Description:
The Samsung CLP-300 is a 17 ppm, color laser printer.
Compared to other color lasers on the market, it is very inexpensive at around $255.
Pros:
Only measuring 15" x14" x10", this printer is compact and easy to fit into a small office.
This printer supports color at a resolution of 2400 dpi x 600 dpi.
At 150 sheets, without optional media trays, the Samsung CLP-300 can handle more printouts without refilling than would many comparable printers.
At 300 MHz this printer has a fast processor, which speeds up the printing of complex documents such as images.
(A fast processor allows complex documents to be translated into printed graphics and text at a faster rate.)
Cons:
This unit does not support two-sided printing.
Suitability:
Suited for those who need high volume color printing.
This printer is capable of accepting pages up to A4 (8.25 in x 11.7 in) and legal (8.5 in x 14 in).
Value:
Given its very inexpensive price, this laser printer has great features for the money.
