The good: Built-in duplexer; very fast prints; great print quality; expandable paper handling and memory; ecofriendly toner cartridge design; return cartridge program offers toner at a discount.

The bad: Networking costs extra; per-page cost is slightly higher than the competition's.

The bottom line: The Lexmark E350d is a great mono laser printer, but you can get more features for the same price from the competition.

Description: The Lexmark E350d is a 35 ppm, monochrome workgroup laser printer. Compared to other monochrome workgroup lasers on the market, it is very inexpensive at around $320. This unit has a maximum resolution of 1200dpi.

Pros: At 14" x16" x10", this printer doesn't take up much room, making it ideal as a desktop printer or for use in a small office. This printer not only has a modern USB port, but also can be used with older systems that use a parallel port. This printer is capable of double-sided, or duplex, printing. The printers 366 MHz processor allows the printer to transform a complex document into its printed form faster, speeding up printing.

Cons: None noted, given available product data.

Suitability: Made for those who need high volume black and white printing. This printer is capable of accepting pages up to legal (8.5 in x 14 in) and A4 (8.25 in x 11.7 in).

Value: In view of its very inexpensive price, this laser printer has good features for the money.
