The good: Compact; lightning fast prints; overall good text quality; multipurpose input tray is convenient; low per-page costs; 24-7 tech support.
The bad: Encountered a major, reproducible text error; graphics quality needs improvement; expensive relative to some of the competition.
The bottom line: The HP P2015dn has the right features to make it a good fit for a small office or home office, but the competition offers a better printer for less money.
Description:
The HP Laserjet P2015DN is a 26 ppm, monochrome workgroup laser printer.
Compared to other monochrome workgroup lasers on the market, it is very inexpensive at around $410.
This unit features 1200dpi.
Pros:
Only measuring 14" x14" x10", this printer is compact and easy to fit into a small office.
This product also supports duplex printing, which allows you to print on both sides of a page in a single pass.
At 400 MHz this printer has a fast processor, which speeds up the printing of complex documents such as images.
(A fast processor allows complex documents to be translated into printed graphics and text at a faster rate.)
Cons:
At 300 sheet, without additional trays, the HP Laserjet P2015DN doesn't handle as many printouts between refills than do most of its competitors.
Suitability:
A monochrome workgroup laser printer, suited for high volume document printing.
This printer can handle legal (8.5 in x 14 in) and A4 (8.25 in x 11.7 in) documents.
Value:
In general, this laser printer's features are in line with its price.
