Description:
The HP Color Laserjet 2605DN is a 12 ppm, color laser printer.
Compared to other color lasers on the market, it is very inexpensive at around $510.
This unit features 600dpi.
Pros:
This printer supports color at a resolution of 600 dpi x 600 dpi.
This printerÂ’s ethernet capability enables it to be made available on the network without tying it to any one server.
This product also supports duplex printing, which allows you to print on both sides of a page in a single pass.
At 300 MHz this printer has a fast processor, which speeds up the printing of complex documents such as images.
(A fast processor allows complex documents to be translated into printed graphics and text at a faster rate.)
Cons:
Only prints at 12 ppm speed, which is somewhat slower than some similarly priced lasers.
For example, the
Brother HL-2700CN
, at around $515, prints at 31 ppm speed.
Also, this laser printer even with optional paper trays installed, this printer only has a capcity of 500 sheets total capacity, which is less than some similarly priced lasers.
Suitability:
Ideal for those who need high volume color printing.
This printer can handle A4 (8.25 in x 11.7 in) documents.
Value:
In general, this laser printer's features seem a bit weak, even for its very inexpensive price.
