The good: Inexpensive; fast color prints; great text print quality; single-sheet manual feed slot.
The bad: Slow black prints; black prints need to be darker; color graphics printing could use some improvement; memory and paper input are not expandable; no auto-duplexer.
The bottom line: The Dell 1320c is a decent choice for a small office or work group, but a little more cash will net you a faster printer with better print quality.
Description:
The Dell 1320c is a 16 ppm, color laser printer.
Compared to other color lasers on the market, it is very inexpensive at around $250.
This unit features 600dpi.
Pros:
This printer supports color at a resolution of 600 dpi x 600 dpi.
Holding 250 sheets without using optional trays, this product goes longer between refills than many other printers.
At 333 MHz this printer has a fast processor, which speeds up the printing of complex documents such as images.
(A fast processor allows complex documents to be translated into printed graphics and text at a faster rate.)
Cons:
Only prints at 16 ppm speed.
This is not out of line with the product's price, but is slower than the average laser printer on the market today.
This laser printer does not support two-sided printing.
Suitability:
Built for those who need high volume color printing.
This printer is capable of accepting pages up to legal (8.5 in x 14 in) and A4 (8.25 in x 11.7 in).
Value:
Overall, this laser printer's features are as expected for this price.
