Pros: inexpensive (but for a reason)
Cons: H drive went out 2 months after purchasing, shipped it to acer, they replaced it..lost everything. 1 year later, it went out AGAIN..no longer under warranty and lost everything again..bought a new hard drive & now have to send them $ for restore disk
Summary: I thought I was getting a good deal when I purchased my acer aspire laptop 3620 for around $500 but little did I know the headache that would SOON follow. After only 2 months the hard drive failed and I had to pay to ship it back to the company. They replaced the hard drive but I lost everything which I accepted because it had only been 2 months. 1 year later, the same problem occurred..this time it was no longer under warranty and I lost a years worth of family photos, expensive programs ect. I like photography so I had many photos that I stored on my laptop that are forever gone. I just paid $60 for a second hard drive (actually a 3rd if you count the one that came with the p.o.s) and now they want $32.42 for the restoration disk!! Think they'll ever see that $32? ha ha..I just bought a brand new computer, rather do that than let them take advantage of me again..and you should do the same unless you have money to burn and like having nothing to show for it. I really hope this doesn't happen to anyone else and sorry if it already has. The battery had also gone out so when it did work it always had to be plugged in..kind of defeats the purpose of being a LAPTOP don't you think? Yeah, i'm totally boycotting these rip-off artists.

Cons: Fit, finish, durability, etc.
Summary: I purchased an Acer laptop 14 months ago. Yesterday, the power supply started shorting out, smelled like burning plastic, and stopped charging. I emailed Acer support and below is the response. Basically, they want $449 to replace a $30 power supply. My last laptop's power supply lasted 9 years!

Cons: Subwoofer is either really tinny or doesn't work on mine. It is also BIG but actually lighter than the Toshiba 5205 that I used to own (about 7lbs). Aside from that, no worries.

"Excellent Value for the price" on
Pros: After having used 5 other laptops, this is the best for the price. You would have to pay $500 more for a Sony with the save features and a displaynthat isn't as bright.
Cons: Poor location for the Wireless button and the keyboard has a very long stroke for a laptop
