A MOS-FET high power amplifier (50W x 4 max.) delivers pure signal output by minimizing crossover distortion during current-to-voltage conversion of the signal from the preamp stage. With HD Radio technology from iBiquity Digital Corporation built-in, you'll be able to enjoy crystal-clear, pure digital audio quality from some of your favorite AM/FM radio stations that are transmitting in HD. How good does HD radio sound? So good that FM radio will have compact-disc-like audio quality and AM radio will sound just like FM does today. In fact, you'll be able to view the artist name and song title of music broadcast in HD, as well as stock and news information, local traffic conditions, weather, and much more - all directly across your radio screen. Spice up your drive with the CD receiver's high definition 3D action graphics that look especially cool on the illuminated blue display. There are five motion patterns, including Formula 1 racecar action and a scenic cityscape called Metropolis, and 10 still images to choose from. This CD receiver not only plays CDs, but also CD-R/RW discs, including MP3 and WMA formats. If you've got WMA and MP3 music files recorded on the same CD-R/RW disc, no problem - the CD receiver can handle it. For your listening pleasure, the acclaimed Alphatuner V FM/AM tuner circuitry is built into this unit as well, and there are 18 FM and 6 AM presets. Through years of experience, the advanced technology has made it possible to pack all of these incredible features into such a compact 1-DIN form. You can easily upgrade to an external amp system by using the dual preamp outputs on this 4-channel head unit. This allows for a maximum output voltage of 5V and output impedance of 60 ohms that not only help protect the signal from external noise, but also permit low power amp gain for powerful reproduction of transient peaks with minimum distortion. In addition, a non-fading, low impedance subwoofer output is available to make adding a dedicated subwoofer amplifier to your system easy. Personalize your sound system with the SQ7 seven-band graphic equalizer. Not only does it provide manual adjustments to help you fine tune your music, but it also offers a series of one-touch equalizer settings, such as Rock, Pop, Vocal, Jazz, Club and Flat.
