The bad: No backup software for Mac users; phone support costs $25 per incident.

The bottom line: If you love flashy toys, the Iomega eGo is for you. It's a fast and stylish drive, but Mac users get left out when it comes to backup.

Description: This Iomega eGo Portable Hard Drive is a 160GB, external hard disk drive. Compared to other external hard drives on the market, it is very inexpensive at around $100. This hard drive connects to a system though a USB 2.0 port.

Pros: Has a 160GB capacity, which is larger than some similarly priced hard drives. In fact, the average cost of a product with this large a capacity is $230.

Cons: Has a 1 year warranty, which is less favorable than some similarly priced hard drives. For example, the Seagate Freeagent Go , a 160GB hard drive at around $95, has a 5 year warranty.

Suitability: An external hard drive, suited for convenient plug-and-play with most desktop or notebook computers.

Value: In view of its very inexpensive price, this hard drive has good features for the money.
