Description: This Simpletech Signature Mini is a 320GB, external hard disk drive. Compared to other external hard drives on the market, it is midpriced at around $150. This drive attaches to a system though a USB 2.0 port. This is a 5400 rpm drive and has an 8MB cache.

Pros: Has a 320GB capacity, which is somewhat larger than some similarly priced hard drives. In fact, the typical cost of a product with this large a capacity is $260.

Cons: Spins at only 5400 rpm, which is slower than some similarly priced hard drives. For example, the Kanguru Quicksilver External USB Hard Drive , a 400GB hard drive at around $155, spins at 7200 rpm.

Suitability: Suited for those who don't want to take apart their computer to add another hard drive -- just plug it in.

Value: In general, this hard drive's features are in line with its price.
