Summary: When I saw this on the belkin website i was very intrigued. The possibilities of having my PS3, Wii, and Directv DVR connected to my broadband connection was very enticing. Though I am running a wireless connection, I became very irritated with my gaming units getting dropped every once in a while. And even more aggrivating was the fact that my Directv DVR box was in a room too far to run a network cable to (and no, I did not feel like crawling in my attic an fishing down a long cable through my wall). I spoke with my wife (as every good husband should to to keep the peace) and I had her sold with the fact that we could now watch on demand in our family room without running extra cables. After doing some research, I found that the Belkin was one of the best choices. First, it offers up to 200 Mbps as opposed to the majority of other similar products that only offer 85 Mbps. Next was the three output jacks. This offered the ability to connect all my devices to a hard wired network connection. After purchasing it, I was impressed on how it easily found and connected to my existing network. I didn't have to configure anything which is always a positive. It even came with a encryption button that secures its connection. After connecting my components, my PC immediately found the Directv. It auto configured for the Directv and with that we were up and running. As far as the PS3 and Wii, both easily found the network after I told them to use a wired connection instead of wireless. I decided to test the speed and played Resistance 2 on my PS3. It performed well without any problems, however I did notice a little lag when I first connected on the Playstation network. However, that did not last very long. I even downloaded a video from the video store. That took about the same time as it would if I was running the wireless connection, so I really didn't have any complaints. I also decided to download a show from my Directv on demand. It worked as well. Considering we didn't have this ability before, something is always better than nothing. Overall, I am pleased with this product and I would suggest it to anyone who is willing to pay for it.
