Fast Ethernet
Also known as 100BaseT, Fast Ethernet is an upgraded standard for connecting computers in a local-area network (LAN). Fast Ethernet works just as regular Ethernet (also known as 10BaseT) does, except that it can transfer data at a peak rate of 100Mbps. It's also more expensive and less common than its slower 10BaseT sibling.
